Become a vol unteer auditor with Students Organising for S ustainability UK (SOS UK) and the University of Birmingham. This trai ning session will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to be come a Green Impacts Lab Accreditation (GILA) auditor\, with full trainin g provided by SOS UK. with breaks and self-study time built in.

\n\n

Following the training\, you will spend some time reviewing the GILA wor k of staff who work in wet labs at the university and preparing questions to ask. You will then meet with the staff where you can ask questions an d make final decisions on your audit\, before feeding your results back t o us. It'\;s a great opportunity to view real-world implementation of sustainability in the lab environment and workplace\, and build new skill s in communications\, analysis and team work.

\n\n

The audits will m ostly be in person\, with some online\, from the afternoon on Tuesday 9&n bsp\;June until the afternoon on Thursday 11 \;June\, so you can put your new training into action straight away.

\n\n

Experience of work ing in a laboratory will be helpful\, although not essential.

\n\n

W e are committed to making our training as accessible as possible. If you have any requirements regarding accessibility\, please let us know a week beforehand. Specifically\, we can provide slides in advanced or in a par ticular format and suitable accessibility breaks. If you have any other r equirements please let us know in the form below and we will try to meet those needs where possible. Please note\, this training uses complex lang uage and you will need to be able to understand English fluently to under stand the training\, and be able to communicate fluently with your assign ed teams.
