  Respect</strong> training\, deisgned specifically for University student
 s.</p>\n\n<p>Violence against women and girls is a national crisis\, with
  experiences of domestic abuse devastatingly common in our society. Did y
 ou know that <strong>1 in 4 women</strong> over 16 will experience domest
 ic abuse in their lifetime?</p>\n\n<p>Everyone deserves a relationship fr
 ee from abuse. That&#39\;s why Women&#39\;s Aid are offering free trainin
 g for university students.</p>\n\n<p>This training aims to develop the kn
 owledge and skills to understand and recognise domestic abuse\, build hea
 lthy relationships\, and be a safe\, active bystander.</p>\n\n<p>Through 
 this session you will:</p>\n\n<ul>\n	<li><strong>Recognise the signs of d
 omestic abuse: </strong>understand the types of abuse and coercive contro
 l\, and learn what makes a relationship healthy and respectful.</li>\n	<l
 i><strong>Be&nbsp\;a supportive active bystander:</strong> get equipped w
 ith the knowledge to know if you&#39\;re witnessing abuse\, and confident
 ly and safely support that person\, helping to create a safer community f
