\nProfessional negotiation (part of professional comm unication) and conflict-resolution competencies are increasingly recognis ed as essential requirements by organisations such the Solicitors Regulat ion Authority\, the General Medical Council\, the Engineering Council\, t he Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers\, and the Charter ed Management Institute. The workshop is informed by the negotiation and professional communication&rsquo\;s standards of these organisations and by employers&rsquo\; expectations.

\n\nThe workshop will involve practical negotiation simulations and real-life scenarios relating to business\, community and professional disputes. St udents will engage in negotiation\, reframing difficult conversations\, c onflict resolution\, active listening\, and collaborative problem-solving .
