 Dissertation Writing course will improve your understanding of academic c
 onventions and writing when preparing longer\, research-based texts at po
 stgraduate level such as a PhD thesis (for PGR students) or a Master&rsqu
 o\;s dissertation (PGT students).</p>\n\n<p>There are two courses. Please
  make sure you attend the course for your discipline.</p>\n\n<ul>\n	<li><

 stem-2026">Science\, Technology\, Engineering and Medical Sciences.</a></
 li>\n	<li><a href="https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/bham/thesis-sum
 mer-course-assh-2026">Arts\, Social Sciences and Humanities.</a></li>\n</
 ul>\n\n<p>The sessions will be online and will run from<strong>&nbsp\;Mon
 day 20 July to Friday 24 July 2026</strong>\, starting at 10:00&nbsp\;(UK
  time) each day.</p>\n\n<p>You should attend all 5 sessions and may inclu
 de tasks to complete and check at home. Please ensure that you attend the
  right course as noted below\,&nbsp\; depending on your discipline and/or
  the type of research that you will carrying out. If you are unsure which
