UoB Xtra will be back in June 2026 so make a note in your calendar now and check your student communication channels such as email, news and  from April 2026 for updates on what ‘Xtra’ events and activities you can enjoy.

What is UoB Xtra

Running alongside the Summer Term is UoB Xtra, our series of FREE social, sports and celebration events designed to help you relax, meet new people and make memories to last a lifetime. From our Mental Health First Aid training to campus 3K, there’ll be plenty happening on and off campus for you to get ‘Xtra’ from your time here with us during three weeks in June.

Summer Term Academic Programme

Running alongside the UoB Xtra extracurricular programme, the Summer Term Academic Programme is a dedicated academic curricular programme led by academic staff from across the university. This programme features both discipline-specific and campus-wide sessions aimed at developing the key knowledge, skills, and future-focused graduate attributes that support your success.
