Participants in this event will discuss whether long distance travel is actually an essential prerequisite for academic success, and explore the extent to which lower-carbon alternatives can be an effective substitute for frequent flying. The practicalities of low carbon travel for University of Birmingham staff will also be considered, along with potential barriers.
