This year, the University introduced the first stage of the Student Assessment Journey Experience (SAJE) in Canvas for all first-year undergraduates. We are now reviewing how the rollout went and would like to invite you to a workshop where you can share your experiences of SAJE and help shape how it develops in the future.

Students who take part will benefit from:

  • A free professional headshot: A photographer will be available on the day to take a professional photo (worth £80) that you can use on LinkedIn, your CV, or other online profiles.
  • Experience for your CV and LinkedIn: You will be working with senior academics from across the university collaborating, providing feedback, and being involved in University decision‑making. After the workshop, you’ll receive a short description you can add to your CV or LinkedIn profile.
  • Making a real impact: This is your chance to influence how assessments are supported and to help improve the student experience at the University.

The workshop will bring together students, academic staff, and professional services teams to look at feedback from across the University. Together, we will discuss:

  • What has worked well
  • What challenges you have faced (including issues around assessments and the use of Generative AI)
  • What improvements or new features should be considered for the 2026/27 academic year

Through group activities and discussions, you’ll be able to share your own assessment experiences, hear different viewpoints, and help identify the most important changes needed. Your contributions will directly shape how SAJE is developed in Canvas.
